From 16 to 30 September 2026 we're running an open gamejam where games are based on the My Famicase Exhibition 2026 cartridges. Pick one of the imaginary labels and turn it into a real game.
Before you start developing your game, you MUST choose one of the available cartridges from the My Famicase Exhibition. Each participant/team will develop an interpretation of the chosen cartridge.
→ View available cartridges (link to cartridge selector)
Important:
- You can only develop using the cartridge you've selected
- If you don't select a cartridge before uploading your game, your submission will be rejecte
👥 Participation
- You can participate solo or in a team, using your favorite engine
- Important: Use one team member's account to upload the game
- Add other team members as collaborators so they can vote
- All team members must be registered for the Jam!
- Clearly indicate the chosen cartridge in your game description
⏰ Deadlines and Updates
Once the submission deadline is reached 30/09/2026, the game CANNOT be updated.
Important restrictions:
- Adding external links to the game in the description or any other way during the voting period is prohibited
- Any game that is not submitted on time, regardless of the reason, will lose the opportunity to win prizes
- Games that include external links to executables will forfeit prize eligibility
- Exceptions can be made and will be reviewed case-by-case by the organization
If you have problems uploading your game on time, contact the organization.
🎨 Use of External Assets
You CAN use free-license or personally-owned assets, as long as:
- They were NOT created during the event
- You indicate that those assets have been used
- If possible, you specify where they came from
🤖 Generative AI
PROHIBITED:
- Generating art using Generative AI
- Generating sound using Generative AI
Games that use AI to generate art or sound will be automatically disqualified.
🏆 Prize System
A voting system will be held among participants using the itch.io platform, as well as a professional jury vote that will account for 50% of the final result.
The prize for this jam is, of course, enjoying the creation of video games and participating in this wonderful project, but in addition, the organization will produce a cartridge and box for the winning project.
✅ Project Originality
Is your game not original?
If we detect that a game is not original and already existed before:
- The team will be asked to send all project files to the organization
- The project will be reviewed to verify it wasn't created previously
- If you refuse to send the files or the game is found to be non-original, the game will be disqualified
