to the Spooktober Game Jam 2021!"

• The game must be made entirely during the time allotted (the entire month of October)
• The game must include something spooooookyyyyyyy ooooooooo (colloquially referred to as "horror elements")
• The game must be submitted before October ends
• You may work in groups or go solo
• You may only use images and audio you create or get online for free (no stealing other people's things)

• There are 3 voting criteria:
  • Spookiness! Does the game give your goosebumps, keep you up at night, make you mull over your mortality?! Or did it kind of flop
  • Fun! After you put the game down, could you say it was worth your time playing and sufficiently turned your frown upside-down?
  • Originality! BOO! Ha ha ha. It's original thoughts like that'll win you more points!
• You scale between 1 and 10 on each of the previous criteria, getting a point for each scoring! However, there are also bonus points!
• Bonus Points:
  • Theme! If your game works with one theme of the GameJam (3 of which will be announced on the starting day) then you will gain an additional 5 points! You only get points for 1 theme, so if you somehow do all of them, it does not give you 15 points!
  • The Original Spooker! If you include Johnny Spookins in your game, the pumpkin with an eye, in some form or fashion, you'll gain an additional 3 points!
