The Eugene Public Library is hosting a game jam in conjunction with the launch of game design and virtual reality programs and services at the Library. The game jam will be open from July 1 through July 13, 2018.
We invite everyone in the Eugene community to participate, from kids to seniors, from experienced game developers to beginners who have never made a game before.
All types of games are welcome – video games, board games, card games, tabletop games, etc. You can create your game on any engine that can export to itch.io.
Submissions will not be judged or ranked. The goal is to have fun, learn something new, and be creative.
Games must be free to play. (Under "Pricing," select "No payments.")
Don’t worry about finishing your game. We welcome you to share any game components, animations or assets you’ve created between July 1 and July 13.
We encourage you to come to the Library’s drop-in game design times or come to one of our game design workshops or events. You can also check out our guide to game design and development, including tutorials, game engines, and assets.
