The most famous annual game jam in Switzerland is back for a spectacular edition, with just as much love for not taking things too seriously. The formula hasn't changed since 2014: one main theme revealed at the start of the jam, and an unknown number of sub-themes dropped along the way to spice up the challenge and tickle your creativity neurons.
Have fun. Whether your games are basic, experimental, digital or physical — doesn't matter. Have a blast making them and we'll have a blast playing them. Do keep in mind though that the Epic Game Jam aims for a broad, almost family-friendly audience, which is why we unfortunately can't accept NSFW games. We also reserve the right to exclude submissions that are legally problematic or go against our values (kindness and inclusivity).
Beginner or seasoned veteran, everyone is welcome. Solo or in a group, both work perfectly fine! The jam's headquarters are in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, where around fifty jammers take part in person. But anyone can join remotely! Just upload your game before time runs out.

Well, it couldn't be more simple: there's absolutely none. If you're looking for something competitive, you'll be wasting your time. But if you're driven by the urge to create without pressure and just for the joy of making things... then you're in exactly the right place!
The main theme will be revealed during our opening ceremony, streamed live on our Twitch channel.
We also film the entire event live so that remote participants can experience all the twists and turns happening on-site. There may even be a way for remote viewers to interact... very concretely with how the jam unfolds ;)
Finally, on the Monday after the jam wraps up, the organizers play through the games also on the Twitch stream! (Note that only games uploaded to our official site will be selected.)
