During this jam you will have the opportunity to develop a mini Indie RPG akin to Earthbound and other games like it. An optional theme will be announced when the jam starts, but this is purely for fun, and you will not be judged any differently depending on if you choose to use the theme or not.
At this point, the Quirky Indie RPG Inspired By Earthbound is a meme. At this point, every indie game is inspired by Earthbound. But I think, deep down, we all know this isn't necessarily a bad thing. I myself am in love with these games. Undertale, Omori, Lisa. All of these games have so much in common, but also so much that set each other apart. This is why I have created this jam. so us indie developers can see how many vastly different games we can make, all under the influence of Earthbound.
