Our first month-long game jam, now hosted on itch.io!

This jam will start at the same time as the GMTK Game Jam 2026, but will run for 4 extra weeks after the GMTK jam ends. For those interested in participating in the GMTK jam, consider this an opportunity/excuse to flesh out your submission into a full(er) game! That being said, participating in the GMTK jam is completely optional! And even if you do participate, you're under no obligation to submit the the same game to both jams -- feel free to start something entirely new if you want.

There is no required theme for this game jam -- you can make whatever you want! However, if you would like a theme for inspiration, consider the GMTK game jam theme as an optional theme for this jam.

Like our previous jams, everyone will have the opportunity to vote on each others' submissions at the end, and at the end of the voting period, we'll announce the winners. This is just for fun (and bragging rights).

As a motivating factor, like in previous jams, if you're registered for the jam when it starts but don't submit an entry by the deadline, you MUST record a MANDATORY YouTuber apology video. Zero sincerity allowed! No exceptions! This is a super serious rule.

We're hosting this incarnation of the jam on itch.io, which makes it easy to share your game publicly, but if you don't want to, you can keep it private to this jam by setting the visibility of your game to "Restricted". If you don't want to upload it to itch.io at all, you can just submit a placeholder entry with no files uploaded, and share the download link with us privately on Discord instead. The jam itself is unlisted too, so it's unlikely any randos will stumble upon it.
