The Duodec jam is a once a month jam for all of 2026. It takes place until a week before the end of the month (January 24) and then rating lasts for the rest of the month. There are no prizes, just a chill jam to challenge you to make a game every month this year. It doesn't matter how long you spend, you just want to make a complete game.

Rules and Other Info

  • You do not have to do every month. There are 12 jams and you can pick and choose which ones you do if you're not up to the challenge.
  • You can join late. I posted this game late December so I don't imagine many people will find it before it starts.
  • You can be part of other jams with the same entry. You are still making a game this month so it's a-okay
  • You can use any engine or tools you want. However it would be ideal that if compile to web and/or Linux + Windows. People need to test your game and I have Linux and want to try everyone's games
  • Teams discouraged, but allowed. The goal is for you to make the game, but you can team if you work better that way.
  • Please use very little to no AI. The goal is for you to make a game every month. I probably won't enforce this but it just ruins it for everyone (especially you)
  • Don't overwork yourself. Don't dedicate the whole month to working on the game or anything, just set aside a few days. The only reason it's open the whole month is to fit peoples schedules.
  • Try to finish the gameIt can be rough around the edges, but it's much cooler to show a small completed game to someone than a large incomplete game to someone.
  • Fit the theme. I can't force you to but I feel like it's more fun this way.
  • Be kindEncourage people with constructive comments. Help people get better, don't ridicule them
  • Don't worry about ranks. I only have them to give people a reason to try.
