Welcome to the Ducktape Game Jam - 2022.1!

A 7-day long event where you must create a game based on a specific theme — that will be announced at the starting of the jam. Submissions are then rated by the public during the period of 1 week, and then ranked at the end. 

Join our Discord server for any announcements about the jam and to hang out with other participants for an even better experience.

Theme

Rules

• Your submission may not contain any NSFW or offensive content
• You may use any game engines/frameworks/tools as you please
• Teaming up is allowed, and is encouraged
• You may use external assets, as long as you have the appropriate permission to do so
• Once the jam ends, you may not edit your submission, so look out for bugs or other issues
• Linking to an external platform where your game is hosted will get you disqualified; Your submission must be hosted on itch.io itself

Rating

Once the game jam ends, all submissions will be available for rating for 1 week.  Submissions are based on the following criterias: Visuals, Game Design, Audio, Theme. Make sure to play and rate others' submissions as well — which would increase the chance of your submission being shown to others. At the end of this rating period, the results will be publicly available and the top 3 winners would get the super fancy "Game Jam Winner" role in our Discord server.
