Welcome to Dreamcore Jam 2026. This Game Jam is all about liminal spaces. Ever noticed that almost every backrooms game is ass? Well, this is your chance to change that!
Theme:
The primary theme will be announced at the start of the Game Jam. The secondary theme will be announced a week later for an extra twist. Try your best to incorperate it as you go. Games that don't follow the primary theme will be disqualified. The secondary theme is optional.

Voting:
The voting categories will be:
- Fun - How much did you enjoy the game?
- Visuals - How good does the game look?
- Audio - How good is the sound design?
- Atmosphere - Does the game feel uncanny / liminal?
- Creativity - How original is the idea?
- Polish - Is the game coherent and bug-free?
Rules:
- No generative AI during the creative process (idea, artwork, audio, ect.) AI coding is allowed but strongly discouraged
- Use any game engine you like
- Use any platform you like (keep in mind that some people might not be able to play your game depending on their platform)
- You are allowed to work in teams of any size if you want to. Solo developers are just as welcome
- Your game must adhere to the primary theme
