The Doccy Who Game Jam!!

Hey there,

Welcome to the Doccy Who game jam page for the Doctor Who 60th anniversary!!

This game jam will involve you / your team making a game that is related to Doctor Who in any way, whether that be a short adventure game, a visual novel or even a shoot-em-up. Any skill level is accepted here, so don't worry, especially if you are new to making games in general.

The jam will begin on the 20th November 12:00pm

Ending at 26th November 23:59pm (midnight)

If you want a helping hand for your game, we will have a workshop session on the 22nd of November in the Murray Learning Center UG08 from 3pm to 6pm! To keep up with what everyone else is doing in the jam, please join our discord here: https://discord.gg/QyqaXAfSH7

Rating

Submissions will each receive an overall rating  based on 5 equally-weighted categories:

• Creativity
  • How well does the game fit into the jam theme? What is unique?
• Visual Experience (Artwork)
  • How well does the game look like and how this contributes to the gameplay?
  • Any assets created by the participants during the time of the jam will be eligible for prizes!

• Game Mechanics
  • Visuals/Audio - How well does it look/sound?
  • How suitable and engaging are the implemented game mechanics and how do they make the gameplay fun.

• Audio Experience
  • Are the chosen music/sound effects suitable for the game?

• Polish
  • Does the game have bugs? A nice UI? Additional gameplay effects? Does it feel polished, smooth, or even juicy?

Rules

• Work in teams of up to 3 people (use the Discord to find teammates)

• Submit your game before the deadline! (midnight, 26th November)

• You can use any freely available assets, but your own work will be judged for the extra prize for the Visual Experience (Artwork) category

• You game must be related to Doctor Who
• Please don't do or make anything offensive, mean spirited or harassing.
