A friendly, non-competitive jam to build Visual Novel games using Dream Nest Realms and share them with the world. All entries will be bundled and published together.

🎮 Engine Requirement

• All entries must be created using Dream Nest Realms (DNR)
• No external engines or frameworks for the final game logic
• This jam exists to explore, stress-test, and improve Dream Nest Realms together

📖 Visual Novel Format (Essential)

• Dream Nest Realms currently supports Visual Novel–style games only, so all jam entries will naturally follow a VN format (dialog, choices, narrative flow).

🎯 Jam Purpose

The goal of this jam is to:

• Test the Dream Nest Realms editor and runtime
• Encourage experimentation and learning
• Build a creative community around the engine
• Collect feedback, bug reports, and suggestions

This is a friendly, non-competitive jam. Every valid submission is considered a success.

🏆 Bundle & Ownership

• All submitted games are winners
• All valid entries will be bundled into a shared library and published together with the Dream Nest Realms app
• Creators retain full ownership, rights, and credits for their work

Your game will appear alongside others in an official Dream Nest Realms bundle, helping new users discover your work.

📦 What You Can Use

• Dream Nest Realms Editor and App
• Your own original assets
• Free-to-use assets (with proper credit)

There are no AI or asset restrictions, unless they violate platform rules.

📤 Submission Rules

• Your game must be created and exported using Dream Nest Realms
• Upload your project to itch.io and submit it to the jam
• Include basic information (controls, short description, and credits if applicable)
• Incomplete or experimental projects are welcome

Please avoid:

• Explicit adult content
• Pornographic material
• Extremely graphic or violent content
• Malicious files or scripts

Psychological drama or mature themes are fine, as long as they stay non-explicit.

📁 What to Submit

Required files

Please include:

• One .vnnest project file
  • Use the file exactly as generated by the Dream Nest Realms editor
  • The file name should match the project name used in the engine
• One .txt file (same name as the .vnnest file) You may include anything you want, such as:
  • Credits
  • Social links
  • Sponsorships
  • Notes to players
  • Special thanks

This helps players clearly identify and credit each creator inside the bundle.
