Welcome to the DMU GDS Jam! This week-long event is all about creativity, collaboration, and putting your game development skills to the test. Whether you're going solo or with a team of devs, this is your chance to build something cool, work with other developers, and maybe even win a prize!
Vote for the theme, form teams, and share progress in our Discord!
The theme will be announced at the start of the jam.
You guys will decide the theme! We'll collect your theme suggestions before the jam begins, then open up a short voting period to select the final theme.
Jam Start: June 8th at 6:00 PM
Jam End: June 15th at 6:00 PM
Voting Period: Begins immediately after the jam ends and lasts for 1 week
Results Announced: After the voting period ends
Use any engine, framework, or language you like.
Generative AI (e.g., for assets/code) is discouraged – we want to see your creativity.
You can reuse existing assets, but only if you have the correct license to do so.
The majority of the work should be done during the jam.
Teams are allowed and encouraged!
We recommend a soft cap of ~4 people, just to keep things manageable.
Your submission must include a playable build.
One update is allowed after the deadline, within 24 hours, only for critical bug fixes that prevent access to core content.
For late submissions, reach out to the committee – we're happy to help!
No NSFW content. Keep it respectful and safe for all audiences.
Voting starts immediately after the jam ends, and lasts for 1 week.
Games will be rated by participants based on the following criteria:
Creativity – The originality of the concept, mechanics, or execution.
Style – The visual and audio presentation, including polish and consistency.
Enjoyment – How fun, engaging, or satisfying the game is to play.
Theme – How well the game incorporates and interprets the jam’s theme.
