When does the DEV EXP take place? 

The DEV EXP starts at Saturday, December 11, 2021 1:00 PM EST and ends Saturday, December 18, 2021 9PM EST. 

What is the theme? 

The theme of the game jam is to build a competitive game leveraging the Challonge Tournament Unity API by collaborating as a team of developers, designers and creatives. 

Where does DEV EXP take place? 

Virtually and Onsite! The onsite location is the Coexist Game House located at 524 Evergreen Ave Unit 1 Brooklyn, NY 11221. Onsite Participants get free exclusive access to the Game House all week to leverage as a co-working and community space. 

Who can participate? 

Everyone is welcome to participate but you must be 18 years or older to be eligible to win the prize! Non-cash prizes such as Logitech products are only eligible to onsite participants.

What assets can I use? 

The game should be created during the jam’ time frame, but you are free to use any assets (Sound, Music, 2D or 3D Art, Fonts) which you have the legal permission to use. See the full rules below for more details. 

What engines can I use? 

Unity is the preferred game engine to build a DEV EXP game and leverage the Challonge Tournament Unity API. This will be required to fulfill the Challonge integration requirement for prize eligibility. 

Where can I find people to team up with? 

You can come prepared with a team and game idea, or you can participate in our team selection ceremony! During the kickoff day, we’ll be taking game idea submissions and allowing all participants to form teams live on our Stage broadcast in Discord. Once teams are formed with game ideas, we’ll automatically create Discord channels for those teams to collaborate.
