An Analogue Game Jam using the Desert Dwellings Art Pack
Just another chance to be inspired to engage with the creative process and make something using some assets I really enjoyed creating.
Rules
Nothing AI generated, text, imagery, or other assets can be used for your submission.
No hate, bigotry, or slander in your submissions or in comments
You must use the art from the asset pack in some way. But you can of course use other art to supplement as needed.
You must have added to your project during the jam, so you can have started it earlier, ideated it before this month, but use this time to add to, update, or create something new!
This has been labeled a TTRPG focused jam just because that's what I'm familiar with, but you can also create art, expansions, posters, zines, video games, whatever you are inspired to create.
You can sell whatever you make, or make it free, but you must include a credit line. Something like "Additional Art by Emily Entner (@oddsandents.bsky.social)" or "Building illustrations by Emily Entner (@oddsandents.bsky.social)".
Optional: make it easily printable at home or a library
Optional: make it free or put up some community copies at least during the run of the jam so that we can read and review your work!
The Assets
Once the jam is live I'll share a download key to download the asset pack for free.
You can use color or not but here's the exact colors I've used in the sample illustrations in case you would like to match.
Hex Codes:
Dark Red/Brown: #3d2620 Yellow/Orange: #ce7c3d Tan Background: #ede8e4
The Desert Dwellings Asset Pack is a set of 27 two-tone illustrations depicting houses and buildings inspired by real and fantastical desert towns and architecture. They each have little details and the files themselves come as re-colorable tifs with four layers, or as grayscale pngs.
On the page for the asset pack at the bottom is an option to purchase the pack and design a new building, so if you end up making something really specific and need something I can add a building for you.
