Welcome to The Design Den's August Modding Jam! This jam is about using an existing toolset to create a short experience that falls in line with the Jam's theme and to get your design ideas on paper faster and in front of players quickly. 

What is this Event?

• A 1.5 week modding jam, starting Friday, August 25th, 2023 ending Sunday, September 3rd, 2023
• Only the following games are eligible to be used as a base for your jam entry:
  • Source Engine:
    • CSGO
    • Half Life 2
  • Creation Kit
    • Fallout 4
    • Skyrim
  • Radiant
    • Call of Duty Black Ops 3
• Group with up to 4 people
• Winners will be decided by the Community!

Make an Entrance 

Feel free to make anything your heart desires that fits with the theme, but if you're looking for a few ideas, here's some suggestions:

1) A brief quest or mission within the game, taking advantage of the theme.

2) A new system/mechanic in the game, showcased in a unique way, taking advantage of the theme.

3) A level that takes advantage of the core game mechanics which also showcases the theme ( EX: A CSGO level based on the theme ).

• You are only allowed to use either the Source Engine, Creation Kit, or Radiant.

• Please do not use or extend any previous mods you yourself have created.
• Include full instructions on how to playtest your mod within the Jam submission.
  • It is CRUCIAL that you provide which game this mod is for.
  • Your mod should be playable without installing any other piece of software beside the game you created the mod for.
• Submissions may be removed at the sole discretion of the organizers.
• We will not tolerate racism, sexism, or any other form of discrimination when it comes to participation in the jam or submissions made.
• No new content may be uploaded after the submission deadline (no polish, no tweaks). The only approved changes are GAME BREAKING bug fixes. Please include other bugs (e.g. doesn’t play in full-screen, etc.) as information on your entry’s page.
