The theme for this game jam is "Dude, where's my car?!" If you're not sure what this is in reference to, here's a nice highlight video for you. Your game does not have to be exactly based on the video, as long as it falls within the theme you can interpret it however you want.

To make this a bit more challenging, we have set a constraint to only use 4 colors while doing this. That means you are free to choose whichever 4 colors you want, but you can only use those exact colors in any of your assets or UI elements. Do note that we are not going to be extremely strict about this, shadows/lighting/reflections are allowed (think SUPERHOT) as long as it's clear that you're sticking to the same colors. In general you can use your own judgement when it comes to this specific part of the game jam.

The DayKnight Festival is a day where our community gets together through Discord to meet other members, play games together, and share common interests. Making video games is a shared interest among many DayKnights so we are excited to host the first ever DayKnight Game Jam! 

This event is an opportunity to show off your creative skills and share your results with the community. The submission deadline is just before the upcoming DayKnight Festival where we'll show off some of the games and encourage the community to check them out! We can't make any promises that Sean will play your game though.

The game jam is open to anyone from the DayKnight community. You can either work solo or join as a team.

You can make your game in any engine you want, as long as it can be executed on a Windows machine.
