About the Game Jam

The intent of this game jam is to come up with some really dumb shit and also showcase the wonderfully talented community of Dungeons and Daddies (its kind of a DND podcast, but I'm really starting to doubt it). But do not be discouraged from submitting if you have no idea what the hell that is.

I know there's a lot of frogs, but its just an example. The main idea is turning the tables on turn-based games. Usually there's a simplistic character that fires a bow or whatever and then a detailed handsome boy is makes a speech in a movie dropped in the middle of my game.

Prompts

  • Gameplay that looks more realistic than the cut scenes (example: realistic, grimy frog FMV and then a crayon drawing exposition)
  • Frog with a gun
  • If you do listen to Dungeons and Daddies, you can do any stupid idea that they've come up with.

Details

  • Theme: Turn-based/FMV
  • Duration: 1 week
  • Start Date: June 8, 2025
  • End Date: June 14, 2025

Prizes

  • Nothing for now, but I might think of something

Rules

  • You can use any game engine of your choice. (Godot, Gamemaker, Unity, etc)
  • No AI-generated art without tagging and its really funny

Disclaimer: I am not associated with the creator of Dungeons and Daddies. I just think they're neat and they came up with some interesting ideas for games that I totally would have thought up on my own, but they said it first.
