Theme:

Record for Most Blood Used in a Video Game

We asked and you answered, you want BLOOD, unhinged amounts of blood! Why? Where does it come from? What are you going to do with it? That is up to you!

Scoring

Games will be scored in five categories:

BLOOD: How much fake blood does your game contain?

FUN: An abstract but essential metric. Is the game fun to play?

CREATIVITY: Three Ws: Unique Wacky Whimsical. How interesting and different is the game?

POLISH: How good is the art, sound, and music? How well is everything brought together?

Jam Part 1

Jam will begin in person Saturday 2-28 in Roser ATLAS 104 at 11:00am where we will all meet, get into groups, and start jamming.

Halfway through, Violet will sneak out and grab everyone lunch from our favorite Costco Pizza.

In person jamming will end at 7:00pm where you are free to head home, get rest, and ready for part two!

Jam Part 2

On Sunday, 2-29, the jam will continue virtually until 11:59pm that night. Feel free to meet up with your group in-person or virtually over discord. On the CU Game Dev server we will provide space for each group to call and chat privately.

Rules and FAQ

Content Warning: For this jam, blood is expected but for anything more a content warning must be added to the description. For example: Content Warning: Violence, Gore

Assets: As long as you own the code / content it is fair game. Feel free to use downloaded assets or assets you have created in the past.

AI: Generative AI generated code / content is not allowed. AI for problem solving is okay.

Game Engine: Any game engine (or no game engine masochist) is allowed!

Teams: Teams are welcome! Please keep team sizes under five. If you do not have a team by the start of the jam, we will find you one.

After Jam Submission: We understand that submitting can be difficult. For our sake please ask for an extension before the jam is over and we will be happy to give you more time!
