RECREATE ONE OF THE CLASSICS

You have to recreate one of below mentioned games as close as possible.

Alto's Adventure

Requirements

  • If you are recreating this game below points have to be kept in mind

  • Focus on art style-Alto's adventure is a beautiful game. Simple in mechanics but stunning art style. If you are recreating this game, judgement will be heavily focused on art style

It should have an endless runner, with terrain as present in alto's adventure. No need to create cliffs, or elder mechanic. Bonus points if you are able to create rope grinding mechanics. No need to add stunts and acrobats but if you are able to pull it off, WE WILL STILL FOCUS ON ART STYLE.

  • Rocks as obstacles (must )and acceleration on ice(can skip but scrutiny on art style increases).
  • Absolute stunning art style. If you are able to recreate the art style of alto's adeventure:- the day and night cycle, the weather, post processing everything, we might even ignore if you are unable to even create the game.

WARPLANE INC

Guidelines for Recreating Warplane Inc — Mechanics-Focused Evaluation If you are recreating Warplane Inc, the following points must be kept in mind:

This will not be endless runner. Just create 2-3 levels, each with some different variety and 2 minutes long. The level should not be too bland(Both in terms of art and difficulty).

  •   Core Mechanics First — This Is a Mechanics-Heavy Game Unlike Alto’s Adventure, Warplane Inc stands out due to its gameplay depth and systems. If you are recreating this game, evaluation will focus heavily on mechanics — physics, combat, economy, upgrades, and damage modeling. Even if your visuals are minimal, if the mechanics feel right, you'll score well.
  •   Must-Have Features: Flight Physics The plane must respond to thrust, drag, and gravity. Smooth  keyboard input for controlling pitch and speed is essential.
  •  Fuel System (Must) Depleting fuel over time is a critical mechanic. Implement fuel consumption and forced landings/crashes when it runs out.
  •  Weaponry & Combat Include basic shooting functionality — bullets/missiles and some AI enemies. Combat should be reactive and satisfyingly responsive.
  •  Damage System (Must) Planes should be able to take damage — from bullets, crashes, and fuel exhaustion — with visible consequences like speed loss, control issues, or explosions.
  •  Landing/Taking Off (Must) The game should simulate basic takeoff and landing mechanics. Even a basic airstrip with friction physics is enough, but it must work reliably.

If you ever feel stuck or lose hope along the way, don’t hesitate to ask any of the  host for help or hints. Just remember—the game should be your own creation, so give it your best shot!!

Both games have to be created for PC. You can use either Unity or Godot whichever you prefer. No need for mobile implementation. Do not stress yourself, Even we are unable to recreate above games and because they are created by absolute beast and passionate developers. Do not hesitate to submit whatever you have created. Focus on completing major mechanics and then going for detail.

Cheers!!
