Welcome to the Creative Commons jam! This is a game jam where people can submit tabletop and video games, images, sounds, and other assets they have created that have a Creative Commons license. The Creative Commons license comes in many types and allows people to share their work so others can create new things. This jam hopes to inspire game developers to release their materials under a Creative Commons license and give others resources for game development.

Releasing an asset with a Creative Commons license does not make it free and there are a variety of license types that give the creator control over how other people can use the asset, including commercial use and other works using the license as well. You can find the license that works for you here and read more about all the licenses here

Submissions Guidelines:

  • All entries must have a Creative Commons license
  • Bigoted content of any kind is not allowed and will be removed from the jam.
  • Previously created works are allowed to be submitted
