Cozy Jam is a no-stakes game jam for people who struggle under pressure, or for anyone who wants to participate in a jam without having anything to win or lose.
Whether you're an experienced developer with years of work behind you or someone who's just getting into game development, Cozy Jam welcomes you!
The goal is simple: make something, have fun, and don't stress about it.
Here's how it works:
A few hours before the jam starts, a theme/topic will be picked. The theme can be anything from something vague and open-ended to something more specific, so don't be afraid to ask us questions if you're unsure how to interpret it.
This jam the theme will be chosen by community vote. Starting from the moment this is posted, you can submit ONE theme you would like to see in our discord and the community will chose the best one.
The jam will run for 2 weeks. During the jam, I'll check in at random times to see how everyone is doing and how their projects are coming along.
When it's time to submit your game, please add(CJ)to the end of your game's title so we know it's part of Cozy Jam and isn't spam.
And if you can't finish your game within the 2-week timeframe, don't worry! Cozy Jam is a no-stakes jam. If you need another week, take another week. The goal is to have fun, not to stress yourself out.
Failure to follow these rules may result in removal from the server and/or removal from the jam.
These rules exist to keep Cozy Jam a friendly, comfortable, and welcoming place for everyone. Don't overthink it — we're here to make games and have a good time. ❤️
