Welcome to the CopperCube weird jam, im glad ur here. 


This jam is hosted for those peeps who use coppercube game engine and want to make a game...
but like... you won't be executed if you use something else kinda. its allowed to use other tools but i personally would be happy to play good games made with coppercube 
the jams primary mission - fresh up the stale air built up by low activity in my beloved scene and spread the word about coppercube and that this engine... exists...
if you've never used coppercube but already have some gamedev knowledge, if you had experience with javascript or any kind of graphic design - its free to try. it really isn't the "best engine ever", it has a lot of quirks some find annoying and limiting
but maybe if u tried it u might love it too
participate and win high quality extensions for free, 3 winners selected by the community all will recieve a gift key on one of the 3 extensions, the one winner picked by the judges will recieve keys to all offered extensions.

join us on discord if you want to participate in community votings, engage with participants, flex ya skills or get notifications about next jams in real time (but this is not mandatory and completely optional)

Jus make a quirky weird game (preferably using coppercube as an engine) following the 2 highest rated themes selected by the members of the jam's discord server

The games will be both community ranked AND judge ranked to avoid some issues. i saw myself how some people nuke good and well made games with unfair ratings, and, in fact, was a victim of such treatment myself numerous times (you can tell)


the prizes are keys to paid extensions made by famous and beloved by the community Just_in_case aka glitched velocity, here goes the list

if your project wins (or get the best rank on one of criterias) and it was made on coppercube you will be given a key to one of these wonderful extensions...

if you don't want or need any of these assets, or if you didn't use coppercube and won, or if your nickname is "12ilikekissingxandraslegs12" - if you have donation alerts i can donate up to 5 euros, or gift you a game on steam. i know its prolly pretty lame but im trying my best to set up the best party i can having budget of a brazilian school caffetteria
(no offence to brazilian school caffetterias)

this part of the page is lengthy but i just wanted to have clear answers covering both actually important questions and the most obvious shi
  • the game MUST look COOL or WEIRD or ABSTRACT or FUNKY and STUFF
    • (cuz that's the main point of the jam, duuh)
  • the game MUST follow ONE or BOTH themes of the jam
  • you CAN work alone or in teams of any size
  • you BETTER use COPPERCUBE as an engine
    • non coppercube entries are allowed but the jam promotes and encourages the use of the CopperCube engine.
    •  also all the prizes are currently jus pricy coppercube assets so if you don't use it sadly the prizes won't be relevant for you
  • the game MUST be playable on Windows
    • *note: your game can also be playable on any platform but windows and browser were selected as primary ones to ensure accessibility
  • the game MUST BE FREE
    • (at least until the end of voting)
  • the game MUST NOT contain viruses NOR BE a virus itself
  • the game MUST NOT contain any pornographic imagery
  • you BETTER NOT USE any copyrighted resources
    • UNLESS you have rights to use them
  • don't do anything that violates Discord TOS
  • don't break laws

third party or premade assets/code are allowed but own custom made visual assets are highly, highly encouraged

you are allowed to use royalty free music or music from other games but ai music is bannable, writing your own music however is highly encouraged

the game as a packed experience must be made within the 20.08-14.09 time frame (since 20.08 was the original starting date)

winner of each criteria will be mentioned and celebrated but the one who gets the highest rank on "overall experience" will be clamed and considered as the winner of the jam
