This is the Conglang Community's first official game jam! We've had game jams before but that was when the server had a different name.

The theme for the jam is: transition!

The jam starts at 12pm GMT on March 3rd, 2023 and ends at 12pm GMT on March 20th, 2023, with a three hour buffer period just in case.

The jam time has now been extended to the same time on Tuesday.

Rules:

- work should mostly be done during the period the jam takes place

- the game should be made by you or your team

- the game should be playable either on itch or by being downloaded. no special programs or purchases should have to be made (like a mario maker level or something like that)

- your game should follow the rules of the server. cw things that need cws, and don't include things that are outright banned.

- the game has to be runnable on its own

- the game has to follow the theme in some way

- have fun!

Other things:

- yes, you can have teams.

- you're allowed to interpret the theme however you want.

- the goal of the jam is to show off a cool thing you made. try making your game as accessible as possible.

- try to do as much of the creative work yourselves as possible! it's ok if it's not perfect.

- this is a for fun game jam. aim to enjoy yourself and feel free to try new things. nobody's judging what you make.
