Hello! We at CompSoc are very excited to announce to you our Game Jam. This will take place on the weekend of 19-21st February. We will begin with a couple hours of social between 6-8pm, then we will kick off the Game Jam.

The jam will run for 48 hours, beginning at 8pm on Friday and finishing at 8pm on Sunday. We will then have a week where everyone (including you!) gets to play each others games, comment a little and we will give out prizes. We're not just looking for amazing games from seasoned game developers, we'd love to see anything as long as it's creative. If your game is a python script text adventure, then amazing! Please share it with us! More details (including rules) will be up on the website soon. You are of course allowed to participate in teams, but being solo is just as welcome, as many of us will be doing.

We will announce the prizes in due course, but hope to see many of you there.

Rules

- Please nothing NSFW. You can probably use your own judgement on this, but we're a society that thrives on our equality, so anything that is likely to be considered offensive should be avoided.

- You are welcome to use assets you have produced before, or public assets, as long as you have the right to use them. Avoid using code from others!

- Teams are welcome, but we recommend small teams as you only have 48 hours!

- Be supportive of one another in the environment, sharing ideas and asking for help is encouraged

- You are welcome to use any existing engines, frameworks, etc

- At the conclusion, please upload a playable version of the game including all the assets by the deadline. We want to be able to play them without having to download a specific version of something and mess around opening project files. Some instructions are fine, but please make it a smooth experience
