Want to make your very own game from scratch with fellow CMGG members? Get ready for the return of our annual Game Jam! Our jam is a beginner-friendly way to develop a game from start to finish within a time limit in a supportive team environment, and it’s open to all CMGG Verified members and mentees in the mentorship program.  The game jam will take hold in our Discord server from  Friday, March 21 at 6pm PST, and ending on Tuesday, March 25 at 12pm PST . The jam is open to people with any amount of game development experience, and it’s totally fine if this is your first time making a game; we’ll be providing resources to help you get started. There will be no ranking of games, and CMGG board will put you on a team of up to 4 students based on skills + expectations. Each team will be given a Mentor -- a professional from the CMGG mentorship program -- to check in with twice over the jam period, so they can help with your work. Some of our Mentors will also be hosting game development workshops -- open to anyone in the server, even those not participating in the jam -- and Office Hours for your burning game dev questions!

 Friday 3/21:

• 6-7 PM: Game Jam Kickoff! Meet your team and optional theme announcement (optional but highly recommended) 

 Saturday 3/22: 

• 12-6PM: Mentor Check-In #1 [MANDATORY] !!  Mandatory check in with your mentor, ask some questions & get help with starting out! Mentor Check-in times:

 Sunday 3/23:

• 1 PM: Game Showcase The CMGG Game Jam is now over & it's time to show off your wonderful games! Raffle at the end for all CMGG Verified Members who completed a game!
