This is the first ever Clocktower game jam, hopefully the first of many. I decided to start this game jam when another one I had been enjoying ended unexpectedly. This is a small jam intended to be fun and relaxed during which you have two weeks to make a game centered around a theme to be revealed when the Jam started on Sept 7 2021 and was originally slated to end 2 weeks later but has been extended due to some technical issues on itch.io. This first jam will be fairly basic just to test the waters and learn how this platform works.

The Rules:

1. When the Jam starts, you will have 2 weeks to make a game.
2. The game can use any engine or platform you like.
3. The final submission must be executable on a modern Windows operating system without requiring any external applications to run it.
4. All submissions must be received by the conclusion of the game jam.
5. You can re-use old project code/art but this game should be unique and the bulk of the work should be performed within the period of the game jam.

The game jam's name is taken from The Clocktower, my discord server, which is a hangout and haven for a bunch of people who enjoy talking about and playing all kinds of games. Anyone who joins the game jam is encouraged to join The Clocktower as well, although it is not required. We will have a dedicated section of the server for the game jam participants and voice channels available for collaboration.

At the end of the jam all game entries will be voted on by the members of The Clocktower with a winner chosen. All finalist games will be streamed live by me over on my twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/ticktockbent) and one winner will receive a special prize.
