What is Clock Jam?

Clock Jam is a physical game jam (no video games please) based around the idea of clocks. A clock is basically another way of saying a progress bar: divide a circle into halves, thirds, fourths, eighths etc. Each "tick" fill up a slice of your clock. When you fill up the entire clock, something big happens. That's it. Clocks come from Blades in the Dark, but you can use them for so much more!

What do I make?

Anything! All genres, modes, and methods of play welcome. The only rule is that clocks have to play a central role in your finished project.

An example has been included for your convenience:

Rules

A clock has 8 ticks.

Each character has a CLOCK. Your CLOCK is your DESTINY.

Test by rolling 1d20+CLOCK. When you fail or get hurt seriously… tick up your CLOCK.

When your CLOCK’s full, TIME’S UP. Exit the scene gracefully.

Fighting-Person

Tick 1: You attack twice when other people attack once.

Tick 3: When you can see an attack coming, it has a 1-in-6 chance of hitting you.

Tick 6: Look at a target. It fights you unless it can resist mind magic.

EXIT CONDITION: Go down swinging.

Full example. Go have fun and make something neat!
