About the Northeast Region and Shenyang Station
The first Game Jam in the world was held in 2002 and has been widely loved by game development enthusiasts for the past 21 years. As the largest Game Jam exclusive to China, CiGA Game Jam has been held for many years, attracting numerous game enthusiasts each year to create various interesting game works together. However, the Northeast region has always missed out on such activities, leaving many local game creators feeling regretful. In order to change this situation, the two initiators of the Shenyang Station decided to organize this event, marking the first Game Jam in the Northeast region. We hope to provide a platform for game enthusiasts in the Northeast to showcase their talents and realize their dreams. We believe that although the Northeast may lack large game companies, it does not lack professionals and creative conditions for creating independent games, especially with its abundant higher education resources. As long as there is an opportunity for connection, it can unleash unlimited creativity and potential. Through this event, we also hope to ignite the enthusiasm of Shenyang and the entire Northeast region for hosting Game Jam offline sites, allowing more local game enthusiasts to enjoy the fun and inspiration brought by Game Jam at their doorstep.
