Welcome to Chill JAM 2023. The goal of Chill Jam is to take a break from the stresses and overwhelming feeling of game development. This Jam focuses on creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere that allows you to take a creative direction and try something new without worrying wither it is good or not.  For this Jam you have 5 Days (May 13th until May 18th) to Produce a working demo of a game that is related to the theme. 

This is a fun 5 Day Game Jam! This jam is open to all skill levels. Wither you're brand new or have some experience this is a fun relaxed jam to try and improve your skills or have a fun time. Don't be afraid to try!

When You  join our Discord server you can get help with your game, project as well as: 
- Look for Team Members
- Help out community Members
- Help vote on upcoming themes for more Jams

The theme is a required idea of what your game needs to be about!

for this JAM you can make a game about anything related about being calm and relaxing with an additional theme to be announced at the start

Themes are no limitations! Instead of limiting, they give you a starting point of an idea!

 
THE Additional THEME IS...

 ISLAND

[1] NO NSFW content,  Any 18+ content carrying game competent(s) will get banned

[2] Team UP! you can work alone or in teams (Teams are no more than 4 people)

[3]  NO Program limitations, Use any Game engine, Art Software, or Audio Recorder (DAW)

[4] Challenge Yourself!  Try at least making 50% of the game within the time limit!
Free assets/resources are okay; getting help for the coding is also not an issue. PLEASE DO NOT submit a game you've already started earlier or even finished for other projects!

[5] Break Time! - You must submit the game within the determined Game Jam period (May 13 - 18) - When the voting is over, you can continue improving your project! (we make exceptions for people who are late to submit)

[6] Enjoy yourselves! - This jam is meant to be relaxed and fun, have fun and enjoy the development process. Don't feel that you have to stress over it, If you only have an hour a day that is perfectly fine! so sit back and relax this is a CHILL jam after all :)

Ranking System. 
We have put in a Rating system to give you guys the Ultimate feedback. Below is how your games will be rated. Keep in mind that the winners of the jam get the bragging rights and that this is all to take a break..

1. Fun - How invested players get into the game.

2. Audio/Music - How well the music and audio are implemented into the game.

3. Art/Graphics - The quality and how well the art and graphics are implemented into the game. 

4. Theme - How the submission ties to the theme of the game jam.
