Welcome to the University of Canterbury's Game Jam NEXT 2023.

What is a Game Jam?

A Game Jam is an event where people come together to make games within a short timespan (usually 24-48 hours) from a given theme. It's an excellent opportunity to meet new people, develop skills, test out ideas and have fun.

Who is this for?

Game Jam NEXT is aimed at NCEA-level Highschool students - no experience is required!  A talented group of teachers and university staff will be on hand to help students and deliver workshops on important skills.

Game Jam Next takes place on the 26th of August and 9th of September from 9am - 4pm at the Len Lye building at the University of Canterbury.

12:00 - Theme announcement and Group formation

12:30 - Lunch Break
