Hi there!

Hello and welcome to Bytefest 2021, a 2 week-long event aimed at being very casual and newcomer-friendly. The jam is set to start on April 30th, 2021 (EST) and run till May 14, 2021 (EST). 

So...how does this work?

Bytefest will have a theme but it's merely a suggestion. You are not confined by the theme at all and it can be completely ignored if you choose to do so. Just try your best and create something you'll be proud of. Due to my tight financial status right now, I cannot really provide and prizes of value, so please keep that in mind if you're planning on joining this event. 

The Rules

Rule #1 - Keep it Clean: No NSFW, extreme gore, or any offensive content within your games. 

Rule #2 - Ratings: Bytefest is a community-driven jam and because of this, I decided to let yall vote for the best game. However, if anyone abuses the system (voting everyone else's game lower so theirs gets picked easier, etc.) they will be barred from entering a Bytefest event ever again. It will not be tolerated. 

Rule #3 - Be Kind: Just be kind in general. Nobody likes someone who is rude and unkind.

The theme for this jam will be: Second Chance. Again, this is merely a suggestion. Good luck and have some fun!

Closing Matter
