Welcome to Bunkertron, a casual game jam for Goblin Bunker denizens to try out the new Picotron fantasy console from Lexaloffle!
What is Picotron?
Picotron is kind of like Pico 8 with the training wheels off: 480x270 screen resolution, 64 editable colors, no file size or token limits, twice the CPU speed, 8 times the GPU speed, and a fully editable and modular desktop environment. When is the jam?
The jam will run for 2 weeks, from Picotron's launch on Thursday March 14 to the end of Thursday March 28th April 4th (moved back to accommodate issues caused by the somewhat buggy launch)
Is there a theme?
Since the shiny new tool is already a lot to wrap your head around, the only prompt for this jam is to make something with Picotron that you don't think you could have made in Pico 8.
Can I use assets and code I already have?
This is pretty informal so you can do whatever you want, but since the whole point is to try out the new console, try your best to make everything from scratch and get a feel for all the new tools.
Can I work with a team/solo?
Of course!
What do I win?
Nothing. There are no winners or awards, just good old fashioned comradery.
