WHAT IS THE BRIGHT GAME JAM?
The bright game jam is a two week jam to make a small game related to light. The theme of this game jam is Avoid The Light.
The game jam was created by nevada_xx and devil.

WHAT ARE THE RULES?
This game jam is meant for all fun and games, of course, but there are just a few rules to follow.
1. No AI resources within the making of the game. Talking to AI's like ChatGPT and Copilot are not allowed, and using AI's like Midjourney, Suno, or other resourceful AI's aren't allowed for making anything going into your game. If the judges find out you use AI, you'll be disqualified.

2. Late submissions are only taken in a day after the jam ends. Unfinished submissions are allowed, but may take points off of your score depending how finished your game is. The minimum playing time for unfinished submissions is four minutes.

3. Teams are allowed. Each team can have up to four members, and minimum 2 members. Teams are not required, however, if you are on a team, make sure everybody is participating on the game. Credits are not necessarily required, but preferred, especially if you are on a team.

4. No NSFW content. Topics that are allowed to mention include: love, kissing, death, grief, peril, light and/or pixelated blood, medicine, and substances such as poison, alchohol.

ARE DISCORD OR OTHER MEDIAS REQUIRED?
No, Discord is not required, however, to get your digital prizes if you are in the top three, you'll need Discord. Still, we encourage you to follow my YouTube for updates and community posts. If you would like to message anyone for tips, tricks, recommendations, or help, do so by commenting on a game jam community post on my YouTube.

ARE THERE PRIZES? IF SO, WHAT ARE THEY?
Yes, there are prizes. 1st place gets an animated sprite pack with 3 characters, an NPC of you drawn by us, a small texting interview that will be posted, badge and shoutout. 2nd place gets an animated sprite pack with 3 characters, an NPC of you drawn by us, badge and shoutout. 3rd place gets an NPC of you drawn by us, badge and possibly shoutout, depending on how many people join. All the prizes are digital, but you will need Discord to claim them. If you are on a team, discuss who gets what and who gets the NPC to look like them!

CAN I ASK FOR HELP FROM THE COMMUNITY OR A FRIEND NOT ON MY TEAM?
Of course! As long as the person who's helping you doesn't actually participate with anything inside the game, and just helps with an idea or coding. If they do help you with anything other than that, then they'd be considered on your team. Please give them credit!
