Policies

1. Do not use copyrighted works for this game jam. If you purchase assets, please keep in mind that the game jam is just for fun and is more of a show of creativity and game development, not how much money you have in your wallet.

2. While sharing ideas and helping each other out is encouraged, do not put the ideas of other people in club into your game without first confirming with them that it is okay. If you are accused of idea theft your game will be investigated and you may be disqualified from participating in this jam or others.

3. No AI generated assets. Music, art, etc. must either be your own work or work you own a license for (many creators will give out assets and their license for free and you are welcome to utilize their work as long as you follow their policies). AI generated code cannot be monitored and is therefore acceptable but discouraged.

4. The game should be developed between December 16 and January 17. You are welcome to utilize your previous existing code or assets, but the actual project should be developed during this period.

5. You own the exclusive rights to your game. We will not utilize your game in any way without your permission. We may reach out to you to see if we can show off your game for the purposes of the club, but you are allowed to refuse or restrict our usage in any way you like

6. If your game is a group project, make sure everyone who worked on it is appropriately credited for their contributions if they wish to be, even if it is something as simple as "additional playtesting"

Games will be presented during the January 17th meeting. If you are unable to bring a device to show it yourself, we are able to help you if you reach out to us through the Discord.

The games will be played during the meeting and then will be voted on based on:
- Overall
- Use of Theme
- General Creativity
- Presentation
- Enjoyability

If your game is unable to be presented during the January 17th meeting for any reason keep in mind that there is nothing barring you from continuing work on it and presenting it at a different time, it just will not be eligible as a winner.
