What's this?

B▦XJAM is an opportunity for jammers like you to flex your creative muscles and runs for a week from May 16th, 2019 to May 30th, 2019. I made this jam because I wanted something that would challenge me because I've made and played a lot of jam games where the game was a remake of something else. In this jam, out of the box thinking is required. Oh wait... it should be inside of the box.... cuz you pick your themes from inside the box, right?

So here's the box...

You see all of those blank boxes, those won't be blank when the jam starts. Each small box will contain a subtheme that will correspond with the row's supertheme.  To correctly boxify your game, you must make a LINE through the box, vertically, with one subtheme per row. Four themes will be revealed here and the discord server a day before the jam starts.

Prizes: Sadly, I cannot provide no actual prizes other than bragging rights and validation with a discord role on the server.

The Voting Criteria:

• Boxification: Does it box?
• Eargasmaticism: Does it eargasm?
• Ingenuiception: Is it ingenious? Is it a new perception you'd never think of?
• Blastasticalism: Is it a blast to play?
• Artsifartsiness: Is it graphically pleasing? (Not necessarily graphically professional)

The Nitty Gritty: 

• Joining as a team or going solo is completely fine. There are no limits as to how many team members you can have
• There will be rankings in this jam, so please vote for other games and give other developers commentary-- advice and support goes a long way.
• Please use your own assets (art, music, code). Using open source stuff is fine but frowned upon.
• Other than the box themes, there are few restrictions as to how you make your game: All game engines are welcome, NSFW content is welcome, and heavy topics are welcome. However, please try to not create something offensive or hate-spreading.
