Hello! Welcome to the first edition of BOB GAMEJAM. This year, I’m Ericcool09, and I have published 9 jam games across many different game jams. In the same way those jams have changed my life, I feel deeply indebted to them, and personally, I couldn’t end such a full and meaningful year without organizing my own jam.

Your game must feature an iconic and charismatic character that represents you, one that you created at some point but that never had its moment of glory, or not enough of one :) If you don’t have such a character, you can still participate. This is your moment to create your own representative character, your very own Bob :)

Additionally, there is the optional theme for those who don’t have a clear idea for their game. The theme is…

Two-Face

1. Your game should have a charismatic main character, preferably the one that best represents you online, as long as it is a character created by you.
2. It is not permitted to create a game that could be considered offensive or NSFW.
3. You may use code, assets, sounds, or resources made by you in advance or in previous projects, and it is recommended not to download assets from the internet.
4. The use of AI for the artistic or audiovisual aspects is not allowed. We want the entries to reflect each participant’s personal style.
5. Have fun. Yuujuu, yeees! Just kidding… well, not really kidding. I mean, have fun. It’s not exactly a rule, but… yes, have fun. That’s it.

Voting will start on the 25th and end on the 31st, so you will have time to try other participants’ games and rate them according to the following criteria:

Art: How good the game looks visually.
Audio: The game’s music and sound effects.
Gameplay: The game feel, mechanics, and overall playability.
Character charisma: The main character must be charismatic and relevant.

Additionally, there will be an extra award called Bob’s Excellence, which will highlight the best entries as selected by the jam moderators and the organizer.
