🎲 What is Board Jam?

Board Jam is a casual, community-focused game jam where creators build simple board games for fun, connection, and shared creativity. This pilot event is all about making and sharing games — no big prizes, just social engagement and recognition on the jam page.

📌 Theme:

Simple Board Game — Participants interpret this theme however they like as long as the core of their project is a board game. Classics like chess, ludo, monopoly, or totally original board concepts are all welcome.

📆 Timeline:

Submissions open on the jam 25/1/2026 and close at 5/2/2026 .

After submissions, entries will be showcased on the jam page for community voting.

🧠 Rules:

Be creative and respectful — make a board game that fits the theme and brings something fun to the table.

Open to all — solo or team participation is allowed. Anyone can join.

Original work — games should be created specifically for this jam. Re-uploads of old games not built for Board Jam may be excluded.

Use what you own or are allowed to use — engines, code, and assets must be owned or properly licensed.

Friendly content only — avoid NSFW, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate content.

Accurate tagging — tag your submission clearly for the jam and include a short description. This helps discoverability.

📦 Submission Guidelines:

Upload your game to itch.io under the Board Jam.

Include screenshots, playable builds, rules, or instructions so people can actually experience your creation.

Add the phrase “Made for Board Jam #0” in your project description so judges/hosts know it’s an official entry.

👥 Tiny Reward:

Submissions will be listed on the Board Jam page.

Viewers can comment and celebrate each other’s work — that’s where the social comes in.

Highlights, mentions, and shoutouts may be curated by the host team after the jam.
