Bloody Jam is a game jam where everyone can make a short horror game for halloween! The Jam starts in 10.10. and ends at halloween eve midnight (31.10. 23:59:59). It is advised to publish your game at around halloween eve to emphasize the mood of halloween, but you can submit the game whenever you want, don’t feel restrained by this!

The voting for the jam ends at 14.11. 23:59:59, so you have 2 weeks after halloween eve to vote for the best horror games in this jam and everyone can vote! If you submit a game, remember to be a good sport and vote other games aswell! The voting is done via the following criteria:

• Spooky level (How spooky was it or how good were the spooks)
• Length (How appropriately short it was)
• Aesthetics (How nice it was to look at)
• Enjoyability (How fun/captivating it was to play)
• Innovation (How new and inventive it was)

When submitting your game you’ll be asked to enter the target audience for your game, if you can’t come up with anything, you can just enter “everyone”, but keep in mind, games are often better when they have a target audience! You’ll also be able to enter some warnings for your game. Remember, it’s important to keep everyone healthy and not give unintentional heart-attacks or seizures!

Rules of the Jam

• The game must be spooky, at least a little bit
• The gameplay should last no longer than 15 minutes, absolutely no longer than 30 minutes! This can be stretched a bit, but try to keep this in mind.
• Absolutely no illegal content! You can use however anything that you have permission to use like your own content or content with applicable licenses (like CC-BY, etc.)
• Remember to keep your jam fresh, and most importantly
• Have fun!
