Bitcube GameJam #1 (36H)

Welcome to the first ever Bitcube GameJam. This is a 36 hour GameJam where the main goal is to have fun! Anyone is allowed to enter, no matter your experience level. Only ever worked in Angular? make a text based game or just move some images. QA? This is a great chance to show us what you have been hiding. Designer? why not flex those design mussels and come up with some fantastic art work for some of the participants.

The goal is to be as creative as possible, any thing goes. If you want to submit an interactive Figma file, go for it, there are no rules or limits use what ever you want!

What even is a GameJam?

Easy. You make a game. Here are some steps

1. Look at the theme
2. Plan out what your game will be
3. Make your game
4. Submit it

It can't be easier. The only rule is that you should be able to play it. No fancy backend system that shows you a white square on a pink background...

But that is enough talking, here is the TLDR;

• Enter in teams of 1-3 people
• Submit before the deadline
• After submissions are closed, you are welcome to test each others games and leave a score
• Remember you only have 36 hours
• You are allowed to use any pre-bought assets or code. But You are not allowed to submit a pre-programmed game!
• Have fun and enjoy!

Some tips

• Don't make your game too ambitious, you only have 36 hours!
• Use what you are familiar with, you don't need to use a game engine
• Remember, your game doesn't have to have fancy graphics. Gameplay is also important.
• Your code doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to work!
• Have some sort of tutorial showing the player how to play your game
• Audio can make a big difference in how your game feels
• Use what you have, bought an asset pack a few months back? Use it now!
• The theme is just a guideline. You can intemperate it however you want
