BIG Jam 2025 x GameJam+ is a casual game jam where beginners and intermediate game developers form teams to build and pitch a game in 48 hrs!

This year we are collaborating with Game Jam+ and participants can freely join their incubation program if they so choose too. Additionally, participating teams can apply for certain categories as well. Read more about Game Jam+ plus here.

• Do not attempt to sabotage other teams. 🚫🤫
• Be respectful to each other. 🙌💬
• No pornographic content or explicit nudity. 🚷🙈
• No illicit drug references. ❌💊

Generative AI Tools: While AI tools are allowed, we recommend minimizing their use to keep the focus on personal skill-building. Please note, BIG Jam organizers won’t be responsible for any issues that may come up with AI use. 🤖💻

Use assets you only have commercial access to. More importantly, remember the game jam is a flex of personal skills not personal wallet. 💪💸  - Zafaroth

Fun Factor

• Is the game exciting on first play? Does it hook you?
• How polished is the game?

Innovation

• Did your game have an ingenious mechanic, or a story told with a twist?
• Unique concepts or refreshing takes are winning factors.

Presentation

• Does the art, music and sound support the gameplay?
• Is the art attractive at a glance?
• Remember, art is always subjective - as long as its focused.

Theme

• Was the theme entirely ignored?
• Was the theme well integrated?

---- PRIZES ----

Your games will be judged on two ways:

Through Public Voting:

• Jammers will be expected to play other games
• Play through, and leave constructive criticism
• Jammers will vote for all games.

Through Judging Panel:

• Judges are invited and will also play through all games

There are therefore, 2 categories of awards:

   2. Most Innovation
   3. Best Presentation
   4. Best Overall
2. Judges' Choice
   1. Top 3 Overall based on Judge's Choice
