A Big Frog - named Archduke Frogz Ferdinand - has taken up residence in the pond in my front yard. His Bigness has been nothing short of inspiring by all who have cast their eyes upon his visage.

To thank him for blessing us with his presence, this game jam will run for one week so that James and Brandon (and anyone else who feels moved to create a work inspired by him) can heed my challenge to design a game about him on their next episode of Stop, Hack, and Roll.

This Game Jam is about fun and making a game about a Big Frog. Submissions do not need to be finished, they do not need to be good, they just have to be (at least partially playable) games. Let your imagination run  hop wild!

Go forth, and create games for the glory of the Big Frog!

For Housekeeping Purposes:

  • This game jam is just for fun and there will be no judging or prizes.
  • Nazis, racists, transphobes, homophones, and other bigots are not welcome to take part in this game jam or create any content based on my work. To borrow phrasing from Chris Bissette, if you have to ask whether this statement is about you, it is. Any games with bigotry or promotion of hatred towards marginalized groups will be removed.
  • Feel free to shout about this jam and your ideas using the #BigFrogJam tag and please tweet submissions to me at @meghanlynnFTW so I can shout about them!
