Welcome!

Join our monthly 4-day game jam with $300+ in prizes. Create games using Unity and Bezi, with a special twist revealed at the start.

This month we are making HOLIDAY GAMES. The holidays are colliding, and everyone is trying to make it to the new year. If it is festive, funny, cozy, or chaotic, it fits.

Your game must revolve around a central holiday theme. Beyond that, you have full creative freedom. You can explore encounters between holidays, heartfelt stories, or fast and silly gameplay. Keep it focused on a clear theme so players can feel the spirit of the season.

There will be a twist revealed at the start of the jam that will shape how you approach your creation.

About Bezi

Bezi is a development assistant that integrates directly into Unity, intelligently indexing your entire project, including assets, scenes, packages, scripts, and components, to provide context-aware assistance. Whether you are debugging complex scene-level issues, generating custom shaders, creating editor tools, or prototyping new mechanics, Bezi understands your specific project structure and coding style to deliver targeted solutions that go far beyond what traditional IDEs can offer. You can download and use Bezi here, or visit our itch.io page.

Twist

Everything Is on a Timer

Every major action in your game must be tied to a timer. It could count down to midnight, limit how long an ability lasts, or keep the player moving before the clock runs out. Time is always ticking, and how you use it is up to you. This twist can drive mechanics, story, or both — just make sure the pressure of time shapes your gameplay.

About The Devlog Prize

We are looking for developers who can tell a clear story about their jam experience with Bezi. A great devlog goes beyond the final game. It shows your process, problem solving, and how Bezi fit into your workflow.

What Makes a Winning Devlog
Show specific examples of how you used Bezi, such as screenshots, short clips, or before and after code
Share both successes and challenges, and include honest reflections
Highlight your creative decisions and any key moments that moved the project forward
Document your development with visuals, GIFs, or short videos when possible
Reflect on how Bezi changed, or did not change, your typical workflow

Devlog Submission

Create a post in our Discord #bezi-showcase channel anytime during the jam period. Focus on finishing your game first. You can add your devlog in the comments of your post during the voting period when you have time to reflect. Screenshots, videos, or GIFs help tell your story.

Rules & Requirements

Development Requirements

  • You must use Unity. Other tools such as Blender or Photoshop are allowed.
  • You must use Bezi. There is no usage quota. Try it and see where it helps.

Game Requirements

  • Games must be built for web (WebGL). This makes playing and rating simple for everyone.
  • Games must be built for this jam. Templates and duplicates are not considered. If you reuse an idea from another jam, rebuild it fully.
  • Ideas should be original. Built by you, with Bezi. Do not rip an existing game.
  • The primary game language must be English.
  • No offensive, discriminatory, or NSFW content.

Team & Assets

  • Teams are capped at 3 members. Solo is welcome.
  • Pre-made assets are allowed. Public or purchased assets are fine. Credit the original creators.
  • AI usage must be disclosed. If you use AI for anything other than code or scripting, such as art or sound, you must disclose it on the submission.

Submission & Rewards

  • Submit by the deadline. No late submissions and no edits after submission.
  • Post in Discord for Best Devlog. To be eligible, post in #bezi-showcase with your game title and itch page link by the jam deadline. Add your devlog in the main post or in a comment during voting.
  • Include visuals in your story. Screenshots, videos, or GIFs make your devlog easier to follow.

Determining Winners & Criteria

Bezi jams are run through community voting, and we use Jamlytics to help keep results fair and transparent. Participants will enter a rating queue of 5. You will rate 5 random submissions before rating other entries.

Please vote with integrity and take time to play each game. We include an extended voting period so you can give each entry proper attention.

Voting Criteria
General Fun: Is the game enjoyable to play. Does it balance challenge and reward, or tell a strong story.
Art and Visuals: Is the presentation clear and fitting. Are there visual bugs.
Unique Mechanics: How original is the idea. Does it do something interesting with the holiday theme.
