What is Bernpyle Press? 

Bernpyle Press is the official unofficial Sword-and-Whisker Publishing House. What this means is that we are a Creative Collective of folks creating Third-party Licensed Mausritter content with the intent of sharing these works with the community in a cooperative way. Bernpyle Press will host GAME JAMS on itch.io semi-monthly with the purpose of compiling all of these independent products into a Zine.  

Mission Statement:

Bernpyle Press seeks to saturate the indie TTRPG community with fun, exciting and quality Mausritter compatible content on a regular basis. 

Vision: 

Bernpyle Press plans to pick up where the Bernpyle Zines left off. By this we mean, to provide new and exciting zines every other month, but with a caveat; ManaRampMatt will no longer be the sole creator. Bernpyle Press wishes to rally other creatives into a Creative Collective that produce their own independent products with the intent of these works being featured in the serial zine. 

Our Purpose: 

Bernpyle Press exists to facilitate a cooperative community of creators, designers, artist and gamers who, together, will produce amazing Mausritter Third-party Licensed material. 

How can I be a part? Join the GAME JAM! Bernpyle Press is open to all. First and foremost to be a part, your creations should/must follow all the guidelines laid out by Isaac Williams here: https://mausritter.com/third-party-licence/ 

Other than that, please follow these simple steps. 

Core Values and Guidelines: 

Bernpyle Press believes and supports several core values and in order to be a part of this Creative Collective we ask that you abide by these core tenants. 

• We believe that all peoples are created equal! What this means should go without being said, but, if you want more understanding; this means – any racist, fascist, misogynistic, hate, or any other language or themes that promote division are absolutely not allowed. Equality and kindness are a must these days.

• The Golden Rule is cool! You have heard it said, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” We at Bernpyle Press agree, so please do not be jerk.

What to expect: 

Bernpyle Press and the GAME JAM’s products will be compiled monthly for the Bernpyle Press Zine and cataloged on Ex Libris Mausritter once it goes live. Here are somethings that you can expect: 

• All independent products should be posted and promoted on individual pages like itch.io and others and can be sold for profit.

• All independent product will be collected, and possibly reformatted for publication in the zine. The zine will be posted for FREE but will point purchasers to the originals. 

• Print runs through MIXAM may be available in the future (VERY HOPEFUL).

What should I create? 

Bernpyle Press is all about exploring the vastness of potential for Mausritter and the immense amount of TTRPG materials that have existed for decades. Please create whatever sounds good you. 

It would be helpful if the independent products were posted as A5 sized for easy formatting for the Zine. We would appreciate a 0.125” bleed if possible and margins of no less than 0.25”, but this is not required.
