THIS JAM IS FOR TTRPGS (PHYSICAL GAMES) ONLY.

Anyone who is a TTRPG designer that makes more experimental, experiential, one page, lyric, or micro games knows the review/collection comment "This isn't really a game." "This isn't really a TTRPG." Well, now is the time where we gather all of these  games designers and tell them to make something that is exactly in the same vein as what is said about their own work.

Really, this jam is about art and pushing up against the boundary of game, poetry, prose, and something that is all of it at once. This jam is about the nature of games as art and how we see them when they step out of our expectations. This jams goal is to help you make something you are proud of no matter how many pages, lore, or (lack of) mechanics.

DESIGN PRINCIPLES:

  • Something that would make people say "This is not a TTRPG/Game" or "this is barely a TTRPG". You know the comments and reviews folks like to leave on lyric and micro games.
  • can be solo or group play
  • design towards the weird, the mundane, the odd little ephemeral moments of your life.
  • challange yourself towards new forms of play, there's many schools of thought. Find a new one, have fun.
  • Remember, all of these ARE TTRPGs! Just because you don't like or understand it doesn't mean it's not art and doesn't have something to say.

RULES of CONDUCT:

  • NO GENAI, whatsoever.
  • No Bigots. No MAGA, transphobes, queerphobes, racists, none of it.
  • Your game MUST be a TTRPG! (Not a video Game!)
  • Submissions can be New (New also counts as getting new layout, new grammar fixes, new art).
  • Multiple submissions are allowed and encouraged.
  • Be polite, be kind

If you'd like, you can join the Jellyfishlines Discord server for ease of communication.

UPDATE: You can add this sticker made by Lovinpancake if you'd like!
