In an industry increasingly concerned with perfection, polish, and the endless chase of the almighty algorithm, it’s easy to forget about the abundance of joy to be had in the act of making.

What if we had just as much fun as the players do in the process of game development? So what if we forgo fidelity to focus on more interesting and memorable things? What if all bugs were features?

This is all about rediscovering the fun in making games, so let’s make bad games together!

RULES:

• ✘ Be as experimental as you like. Use MSPaint or make a game entirely in Powerpoint!
• ✘ Zero experience with game dev is totally fine - encouraged, even!
• ✘ Digital/Physical games OK! Maybe even a weird mix of both?
• ✘ Go for big, fun ideas & concepts over fine-tuned gameplay mechanics
• ✘ Bugs & glitches are all a part of the experience
• ✘ Teams of 3-4 people are recommended 
• ✘ As much as possible,  please avoid using AI for art assets (okay for use in assisting with coding/writing)
• ✘ Feel free to use asset packs! Mix and match them if you want if ur feelin frisky 
• ✘ NSFW content is fine - but be respectful when handling any sensitive topics!

You don’t HAVE to make fun games, but DO have fun making them! 
NOTE:  This is a HYBRID game jam, so please make sure to have at least one representative from your team on the opening + closing day!
