The Awful Summer Jam is a relaxed 4 weekend game jam where you make a video game based around your interpretation of the given theme.

This is a feedback focused jam where everyone is encouraged to play and review each other's entries. So if you've never made a game before, this is a great place to start!

The annual Awful Summer Jam is here again and the clock is ticking. Our theme this summer is 60 SECONDS, so dust off those old stop watches and start brainstorming.

Rules

- Do not start development of your entry before July 5th.*

- Your game must adhere to the theme in an obvious way.

- Mean spirited entries or behavior interacting with the Awful Jams community will get you kicked from the jam.

- No more than 3 people** per team.

- Entries must be no more than 512mb on-disk size unzipped.

- Don't include ANY sort of installer with your game. Your game must be submitted as a '.zip' archive containing your game files. Common redistributable installers (Visual Runtime, .Net, DirectX) are allowed to be included.

- Browser games are fine.

- Don't submit broken / clearly unfinished games, asset store flips, or games created before July 5th.

* You may assemble your team and discuss possible ideas. But avoid designing or creating any game specific code before the start date. (Plugins, engines, and frameworks are fine ).

** Musicians, voice actors, sound fx artists, and anyone who ONLY makes audio files for you game do not count toward your team count. This does NOT extend to artists who only create art files.
