Rules
No game-jamming in work time! The jam's not endorsed or hosted by work, so please keep all your game making to lunches/evenings/weekends. You have the whole month so no need to rush.
Sourcing assets
We know not everyone is an artist/musician/coder triple threat, so feel free to use any assets you're able to source. Just note: we'll be hosting the game jam and submissions on itch.io, so make sure you have permission to use the assets. If you're unsure, feel free to ask in the channel.
Solo? Teams?
You're free to work on the game by yourself or with a team, it's entirely up to you! If you're looking for a team, feel free to post here in the channel.
Hosting
We'll be hosting the jam over on itch.io. To make voting/play-testing a lot more accessible for people we recommend that you build your game for the web.
Voting
The jam is for fun, but sometimes things are more fun when you can earn the title of BEST GAME DEVELOPER EVER. So we'll still run a vote on itch so we can pick a winner, and they might even win a lil prize...
Facilitators
The jam will be facilitated by Michael Hibbs and Jenni Foster. If you have any jam-related questions feel free to reach out to either of us (or reply to this thread) and we'll be happy to help!
