Welcome to our mini jam dedicated the epic tool that is Aseprite!

With a top prize of $50, submissions are open from Saturday 27th July 00:01 AM (GMT+1) and lasting for 2 days through to 11:59PM (GMT+1) Sunday 28th July.

As always, we have a few goals with this jam: (1) to have fun, (2) to create & showcase some epic original art, and (3) to allow the Aseprite  community to show off the amazing things possible with their tool.

Tooling.gg is a community led website bringing together all of the tools used for building games so people can find the right tool for the right job. We are driven by a passion for the amazing software that makes creating our worlds/stories/experiences possible, and the community that uses them.

1st Place: $50

2nd Place: $25

3rd Place: $10

+ BONUS $5 for a participant (chosen at random) outside of the top 3 who submits a review for Aseprite.

Who can Enter?

We welcome anyone from anywhere to participate in this Jam. You'll obviously need to have an itch.io account to join! We look forward to seeing your creations!

We require the submissions to be in 3 separate parts (i.e. 3 separate/unique uploads)

- 1x main character (your protagonist)

- 1x 'scene' (like a painting or a photograph capturing a moment)

- 1x companion (like a trusty hound, a right hand monkey, or a pirates' parrot)

There will be three voting criteria & voting will be done by submitters & the host:

- Interpretation of the theme

- Creativity & originality

- Quality of artistic composition

In order to combat unfair voting, scores will be moderated before the results are released.

We want to honour a few rules, so we can all have fun as a community:

- Most importantly: the art you submit MUST be built using Aseprite (https://www.aseprite.org/)

- You will only be eligible for a prize if you complete the review via the link.

- No paid assets are allowed to be submitted, art must be original to the designer.

- No NSFW Art

- One submission (of three parts) per participant.

- Solo participants only please!
