The Challenge

We’re challenging creators to craft engaging and fun AR and VR experiences themed around Winter Sports. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and tools and share your work with the community and in our 2021 Wrap-up on 12/16.

AR/VR Creators

We're the AR/VR Creators Meetup group: https://www.meetup.com/ARVR-Creators/ .

We're working to support and connect those who are creating  AR/VR/XR/MR/(all the Rs) experiences, tools, hardware, concepts, and whatever else you geniuses are cooking up.

You can also chat with us on Discord:  https://discord.gg/KQj8cJb7T6

FAQ

Why is this happening?

We love making stuff and seeing what other people make. We’re launching this challenge to help provide a focal point for the community’s creativity.

Who can participate?

Anyone. Anywhere. Any age.

Can we work as a team?

Absolutely! Working as a team is absolutely in the spirit of the challenge.

What tools or platforms can we use?

You can use any tool, device,  or platform to produce the submission. Feel empowered to use the tools you love or tackle something new. This is all about creation. That being said, you probably want to make your experience as widely accessible as possible so people can try it out.

Do we have to make a game?

You can make whatever type of experience you want. Snap Lens, WebAR exploration, haptic funhouse, etc. - whatever appeals to you.

Can we use assets or resources we didn’t create?

Absolutely. But make sure to indicate what part of the work you created vs what came from somewhere else.

We already have this great experience, we made last year. Can we submit that?

This challenge is all about creation, i.e. making something new, so while we’d love to hear about your previous work, this submission should be new.

How many experiences can we submit?

As many as you like, but it might be better to focus on making one really great experience.

How are you judging submissions?

Judging? There’s no judging here, just showcasing. After you’ve posted your experience, we’ll showcase your work and spread it around wherever we can.

Who owns the submissions?

You own your submissions,  but by joining in you’re granting us the right to tell people about it and share images and videos of your work.
