AphroJam SEPTE-15

Event Overview: AphroJam SEPTE-15 is a game jam hosted by AphroSphere Interactive on the itch.io platform, designed to bring together game developers, artists, writers, and musicians to create innovative and exciting games over a short period. The jam focuses on creativity, collaboration, and pushing the boundaries of interactive entertainment.

Theme: The theme for AphroJam SEPTE-15 will be announced at the start of the event. Participants are encouraged to interpret the theme creatively, incorporating it into their game design in any way they see fit.

Rules:

1. Team Size: Participants can work solo or in teams. There is no limit on team size.
2. Content Creation: All assets used in the game, including code, art, and music, must be created during the jam period. Pre-existing assets are allowed only if they are openly licensed (e.g., CC0) and declared in the submission.
3. Platforms: Games must be submitted in a format playable on Windows, macOS, or a web browser. Additional platform support is encouraged but not required.
4. Submission: Submit your game via the itch.io game jam page before the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
5. Judging Criteria: Games will be judged on the criteria: OVERALL; GRAPHICS; ENJOYMENT; HUMOUR; THEME; AUDIO; CREATIVITY; MOOD.
6. Community Voting: After submissions close, the creators and contributors will vote on their favorite games during the voting period.
7. AI Usage: Any base code/concept art created by AI, but they shall not be included in the final submission. Our judges will personally go through every submission, and if any art/music created by AI is found, it is an instant disqualification.
8. NSFW and Heavy Violence: NSFW and Heavy Violence ARE NOT restricted, but we kindly request to mention it in the submission description and an 18+ disclaimer.

Prizes:

• 1st Place: 10$ + special role on our server!
• 2nd Place: 5$+ special role on our server!
• 3rd Place: Special role on our server!

Special Events:

• Kickoff Livestream: Join us on September 15th for a Livestream event where the theme will be announced, and participants can ask questions.
• Mid-Jam Check-In: A casual Discord event on September 23rd to share progress, get feedback, and meet fellow jammers.
• Post-Jam Showcase: After the jam, we'll host a special event to play through the top entries and discuss the results.

Discord Server: Join our Discord server for updates, team formation, and to chat with other participants. The server will be the hub for all communication during the jam, including announcements, Q&A, and support.
